Lexington, located 10 miles south of Interstate 40, midway between Memphis and Nashville, is the county seat of Henderson County. Lexington is positioned 35.65 degrees north of the equator and 88.39 degrees west of the prime meridian with an average elevation of 500 feet above sea level.
